Further Information on Beadwork Design

A lot of handmade Advent Calendars take a long time to make, not this one! Using a wood spool and paper template you can create your own little advent calendar in no time! Around the spool is two separate bands of beadwork with little windows in. Spin the bands around the spool and see the numbers change and count down or up to Christmas! On the band is a little winter scene containing Santa, Snowman and an Elf carrying a Christmas pudding and even a couple of Christmas Trees! The wood spool is finished with a bead pompom tassel and a loop, both enhanced with firepolished beads in clear crystal ab and chalk white. Made using Even/Odd Count Peyote the house takes around 2 hours to bead, making this pattern ideal for making little Christmas gifts. As usual with ThreadABead featured patterns we give full detailed photographic instructions and in this pattern there are 65 detailed steps, making this pattern even suitable for beginners to beading. Please note the pattern may not work with any other size and type of beads. There are 16 delica colours in total and the finished beadwork is approximately 16.5cm x 2.5cm (including loop and fringe work) Each bead pattern is mounted on a Wood Spool - Height 3.2cm x Width 2.1cm (Product Ref: 1943). 11 x 4mm Firepolished Crystal AB, 7 x 4mm Firepolished Chalk White , 3 x 6mm Firepolished Chalk White, 2 x 10mm Firepolished Crystal ABare required for the loop and tassel. The pattern supplied is 22 pages and includes close up photo of the finished work, a colour chart of suggested delicas, a colour pattern, a numbered coloured pattern and assembly instructions (including fringe-work instructions).
