3D Easter Egg Trinket Box Ornament Bead Pattern

Of course, one of the best things about an Easter egg is what is inside the egg! So, for this little beaded egg we have made it into a little trinket box, for you to add anything you like inside – for instance a small amount of sweets, money or even a little beaded item like a figure, pendant or even earrings! Accented with gold, silver lined pink and purple beads this egg contains a different scene on each of the panels on the top of the egg. There are 3 panels, with a chick, a chick in an egg and an egg and there are a further 3 panels with tulips, each with a different insect flying around – it is spring after all! In this pattern we give full detailed photographic and graphic instructions, and there are 44 detailed steps, making this pattern even suitable for beginners to beading. This bead pattern is made using Japanese Miyuki size 11 Delica. Round Peyote stitch is used but full detailed instructions are given, and no previous knowledge of the stitch is required. Please note the pattern may not work with any other size and type of beads. There are 18 delica colours in total and the finished beadwork is approximately 4.75cm (h) x 3.3cm(w) 1 x 4mm Swarovski crystal is also required, and it is highly recommended that you use Fireline 6lb thread to add stiffness to the beadwork. The use of nail varnish to stiffen the beadwork is optional, and only really needed if you don’t use fireline. The bead pattern supplied is 19 pages and includes step by step photo and graphic instructions. A pattern chart is also included, but does not need to be used.
