If you love Halloween and beading, you will enjoy making these adorable, beaded witches. You can create two different witches, Myrtle and Gertle, each with their own personality and accessories.
Myrtle is the purple witch. She is a good, studious witch and uses her magic wand to cast spells on unsuspecting frogs.
Gertle is the orange witch. She doesn’t pay as much attention at Witch school as Myrtle so forgets her spells easily which can get her in a bit of a pickle. Gertle keeps her little book of spells in her bag just in case!
Both of these cute witches are flying around on little beaded broomsticks, and you can hang them as ornaments or decorations.
These designs use delica beads and round and even count peyote stitch techniques. They are suitable for intermediate to advanced beaders who have some experience with peyote stitch. Just simply follow the easy step-by-step instructions and diagrams to make your very own witches.
This bead pattern is made using Japanese Miyuki size 11 Delica. Please note the pattern may not work with any other size and type of beads.
There are 7-9 delica colours in total for each witch and they measure 8cm (h) x 7.75cm (w) x 3.75cm (d).
Also required is 1 x 4mm 24kt gold, a short length of invisible thread and some polyester wadding.
The bead pattern supplied is 55 pages and includes 119 step by step photo and graphic instructions. A word chart is also included.
