Further Information on Beadwork Design

Over 15 years ago we created our very first beaded book. The pages in the book were created by hand and it was a very painstaking process to do and not something we could put within our patterns for a beader to do at home (in fact we had only one printer that could even print it out correctly). When the software we used to create the books became obsolete we reluctantly removed them from sale. Since then, as we are repeatedly asked for these patterns, we have finally managed to put them into the same format as our other beaded books. It was quite a feat to do as they are quite a bit smaller and have more text in them!

In this fifth rerelease we have the Nursery Rhyme book, which includes the rhymes: 1 2 Buckle My Shoe, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Fee Fie Foh Fum, Grand Old Duke of York, I'm a Little Teapot, Incy Wincy Spider, It's Raining It's Pouring, Jack and Jill, Little Bo Peep, Humpty Dumpty, Little Jack Horner, Little Miss Muffet, Mary, Mary Quite Contrary, Solomon Grundy, Simple Simon, Sing a Song of Sixpence, Hickory Dickory Dock, Old Mother Hubbard, Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe, Rain Rain go Away, Pease Pudding Hot, Rock a Bye Baby, Rub a Dub Dub, Row Row Row Your Boat, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star,
Wee Willie Winkie, Jack Be Nimble, Mondays Child, March Winds

Our new style of beaded books come with pre-printed pages so you can make the books yourself. Each book has 30 pages and are simple and quick to make, taking around 3 hours to bead and assemble each one.

As usual with ThreadABead featured patterns we give detailed instructions, and, in this pattern there are 29 steps, making this pattern even suitable for beginners to beading.

This bead pattern is made using Japanese Miyuki size 11 Delica. Odd Count Peyoye is used but full detailed instructions are given, and no previous knowledge of the stitch is required. Please note the pattern may not work with any other size and type of beads.

There are 9 delica colours in total the finished beadwork is approximately 3cm x 2.75cm.

1 x 4mm fire polished round Crystal AB bead is required as well as thin card, ideally white in colour. Additionally, a scalpel or scissors and ruler is required along with a paper glue such as 2 in 1 Glue Pen or Quick Stix Glue Stick and a small piece of permanent double-sided sticky tape. A no tangle thread bobbin is also useful.

The bead pattern supplied is 19 pages and includes 29 step by step instructions along with templates and pre-printed pages for the book, a word chart is also provided.
